Thomas J. Gorman Obituary

Thomas J. Gorman, 61, of Binghamton, died

Friday evening, August 9, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was

predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Gorman. He is survived by two

sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Kenneth Baker, Dublin, Ohio, Mary and

Joseph Cavese, Loveland, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara

Gorman, Binghamton; his nieces and nephews, Dennis Gorman, Mary Beth Thompson,

Jay Gorman, Suzanne Capwell, Jennifer Gorman, Shelly Baker, Robert Cavese,

Julie Nevills; his aunt, Rita Loughlin; cousins, Walter Connelly and Gerald

Connelly. Tom was a member of St. Thomas the Aquinas Church, Binghamton;

retired 30 year employee of the Internal Revenue Service and a graduate of

Binghamton University. Tom was Vice-President of the National Muscular Dystrophy

Association and an avid N.Y. Yankee fan. Funeral services will be held at the

J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton Wednesday at 8:30

a.m. and at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas the Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will

be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will

receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu

of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Tom may be made to the

Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1249 Upper Front St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
