Obituary of Victor M. Cisek

Victor J. Cisek, 65, of Binghamton,
passed away on August 12, 2002 at home after a courageous battle with cancer,
surrounded by his family. Victor was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and
Mary Okoniewski Cisek. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Rogers
Cisek, Binghamton; his four children and spouses, Cheryl and Richard Fragnito,
Houston, Tex., Scott Cisek, Binghamton, Michelle and Michael Kinstle, Wicken,
England, Michael and Heather Cisek, Great Bend, Pa.; his grandsons, Michael B.
Cisek, Timothy M. Bezouka; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Joseph
Jastrab, Sarasota, Fla., Lucille Cisek, Louise and James Duffy, all of
Binghamton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Vic was an Army veteran, serving a tour of duty in France. He was a body shop
manager for many years, a retiree of the Binghamton-Johnson City Joint
Treatment Plant with over 24 years of service. After retirement, he worked for
Genarelli Flower Shop, and Auto Finishers. Victor was an avid fisherman. He was
a bat boy for the Binghamton Triplets, an excellent pool player, formerly
playing pool with the Southern Tier Pool League. He was a lover of all sports.
He enjoyed puttering around the house and tending his tomato patch. Thank you
to his doctors and nurses and a special thank you to all the caring staff at
Lourdes Hospice. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons
Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 9 a.m. Rev. Msgr. Lawrence E.
Giblin will officiate, Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City.
The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 5
to 8 p.m.
