Obituary of Barbara E. Abashian

Barbara E. Abbott Abashian, 67, of
Binghamton, died Friday morning, May 10, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, Earl G. and Catherine H. Abbott; a brother,
Earl J. Abbott; her sisters, Evelyn C. Valcourt and Constance E. Abbott. She is
survived by her children, Roxanne Esaian and James Leahy, Valley Stream, Velvet
Abashian and Marlene Phillips, Lebanon, N.J., Paul Abashian and Adella Koenig,
Santa Cruz, Calif., Peter M. and his fiance Bridget Stringer, Madison, Ala.,
Catherine and David Williams, Daniel J. and Nancy Abashian, all of Binghamton;
three grandchildren, Tiffany Esaian, Kimberly Esaian, Nathan Williams and
expecting a fourth in August; father of her children, Peter Abashian, Jupiter,
Fla.; her brothers and sisters, Douglas and Anne Abbott, Oreg., James and Elaine
Abbott, Endwell, Norma Goodspeed, Vestal, Kathryn and Michael Cleney, Patricia
Abbott and John Liberati, Joseph Abbott, all of Binghamton; many loving aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, including Hilda Young. She
was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton and was active as a community
volunteer. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral
Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Tuesday at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St.
Patrick's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the
McCormack Funeral Home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers,
the family suggests memorial contributions to Family and Children's Society,
257 Main St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905, or American Heart Association, 59 Court
St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901, or the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave.,
Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
