Hanley, Thomas C. Chenango Bridge: Thomas C. Hanley (89) passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at his home in Chenango Bridge. Thomas was born in Cohoes, NY (12/7/22) to the late James and Beatrice Hanley. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene; and sister, Carmen Campbell. He is survived by his wife and loving caregiver, Ann; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Patti Hanley, Oneonta; daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Steve Gamoff, Ontario, Canada; two grandchildren who gave him great joy, Lori and Kevin Gamoff, Ontario, Canada; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Margaret Hanley, Red Hook, NY; several nieces and nephews; two special nieces and their families who were always there to lend a helping hand, Patricia and John Townsend, Endicott, Erin and Andy Bessy, Colchester, VT and Gary Robinson III, Endicott. Tom was a graduate of LaSalle Institute, Troy, NY, and Albany College of Pharmacy. He retired from the Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company as a sales representative in the Southern Tier and later from Binghamton General Hospital pharmacy. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Hillcrest. Tom was a kind and caring man who knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. He touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Lourdes Hospice nurse Lori, nurse and dear family friend Teri Oswald who was there to the end, neighbors and dear friends for all their help and support. Thank you to Father Tim and Sister Karen for all their kindness and spiritual support. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Chenango Street, Hillcrest, Friday, August 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Friday, August, 31, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Those wishing to may make memorial contributions in Tom's memory to Lourdes Hospice Program, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850 or Wounded Warriors, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 200, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
