Obituary of Mary Frances Conole

Mary Frances Siegfeldt Conole, of
Binghamton, died Wednesday morning, March 27, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes
Hospital after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years,
Dr. Frank Dennis Conole. She is survived by her eight children and their
spouses. Kathleen and Skip Reynolds, Binghamton, Frankie and John Joynes,
Annapolis, Md., Charles and Dianne Conole, Syracuse, Thomas and Jane Conole,
Albany, William and Patricia Conole, Syracuse, Bridget and Dennis Withers,
Atlanta, Ga., Connie and Timothy Carey, Wheaton, Ill., Colleen and John
Fitzimmons, Vestal; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mary Frances
was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton for over 65 years and
an active member of the Altar-Rosary Society. Mary Frances, a native of Bethlehem,
Pa. was a graduate of both Bethlehem Catholic High School and the Registered
Nurse Program at St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Conole was a
charter member of the Broome County Medical Auxiliary as well as a founding
member and past president of the Patronesses Ladies of Charity. She enjoyed
more than 50 summers at Quaker Lake, Pa., spent with her children and
grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as "Nana". She leaves a
legacy of kindness and caring which her extended family will charish for the
rest of their lives. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to
the physicians and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Lourdes Hospital. A
Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial
will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive
friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton,
Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made
to St. Patrick's Church Restoration Fund, 9 Leroy St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905,
or Lourdes Hospital Foundation, 169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
