Obituary of Ferdinand M. Morsch

Ferdinand Micheal Morsch, 67, of
Binghamton and Levanna, N.Y., beloved husband and father, died Sunday evening,
September 1, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by
his parents, Berenice and Ferdinand Morsch; a brother, John; and a sister,
Berenice. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Nancey Hager Morsch,
Binghamton; his son, Timothy Morsch, Binghamton; his daughter and son-in-law,
Katherine and Timothy Frear, Conklin; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and
William Last, Dansville; mother-in-law, Dorothy Hager; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Tom and Peg Hager, Judi Monahan, Jack and Barbara Hager, Debbie
and Wayne Micholychak; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends,
especially Terry and Dave Clutz. Ferd was a member of St. Vincent de Paul
Church, Vestal and the Good Shepherd Catholic Community of Cayuga Lake. He was
a retired 37 year employee of the IBM Corporation and a member of the Quarter
Century Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Peter T. Campon
Council #206 and the Fourth Degree Assembly; Treasurer of Project Children of
Broome County; member of Iroquois Region of AACA; member of St. John's
Sportsman's Club; spent 11 years with the National Guard; member of the Ancient
Order of Hibernians. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff
of Lourdes Hospital for their care and kindness. Funeral services will be held
at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Wednesday at
9:30 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, where a Funeral Mass
will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family
will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In
lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Ferd may be made to the
American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Avenue, Endicott, N.Y. 13760 or Project
Children, P.O. Box 2861, Binghamton, N.Y. 13902 or any charitable organization.
