Melvin F. "Vinny" Baldwin, Jr., 49, of Binghamton, fell asleep in the arms of the Lord Thursday evening, March 14, 2002 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa. He was predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Constance Baldwin, Sr.; a nephew, David Warner, Jr.; and his grandparents, George Field and, Ida and Kenneth Baldwin. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sally Ellis Baldwin, Binghamton; a sister, C. Marie and David Warner, Hallstead, Pa.; brothers, Thomas Baldwin, Kirkwood, Scott and Edna Baldwin, Fla., Robert and Ann Marie Baldwin, Springville, Pa., Peter Baldwin, Pa.; his grandmother, Eudean Field; mother-in-law, Myrna Ellis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stan and Donna Ellis, Gary and Linda Ellis, Steven Ellis; two nieces, Erin Ellis and Brenda Warner; nephew, Nick Ellis; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Vinny was Property Manager for BRT,LLC for 23 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and enjoyed boating and his dogs. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Daniel C. Baker, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Port Crane, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Vinny may be made to National Transplant Assistance Fund, Suite 230, 3475 W. Chester Pike, Newton Square, Pa. 19073.
