Obituary of Patrick E. Gourley

Patrick E. Gourley, Sr., 65, of Binghamton, died Thursday morning, September 5, 2002 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, William Gourley and Reba Myers; and two brothers-in-law, William O'Hara and Edward Yacos. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Catherine O'Hara Gourley, Binghamton; a daughter and son-in-law, Coleen and Stephen Youngstrom, Vestal; a son, Patrick Gourley and Theresa Wage, Endicott. He was the best grandpa in the world to Christopher, Nicholas and Brandon Youngstrom. Also survived by his sisters and brothers, William and Marian Gourley, Elmira, Nancy and Sam Borruso, Kirkwood, Sandra Yacos, Vestal, Thomas and Marilyn Gourley, Kirkwood; sister-in-law, Gloria O'Hara; brother-in-law, John O'Hara; a cousin, Robert Gourley and family; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Christopher's Church, Binghamton and retired from Canny Trucking and Elkay Trucking. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Peter T. Campon Council #206 and was listed in Who's Who in Business and Finance. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Monday at 9:30 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
