Obituary of Warren J. Philpitt

Warren J. Philpitt, 82, of Elm City, N.C., formerly of Unadilla, N.Y., died Thursday, September 26, 2002, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, N.C. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Alicino. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Liguori Philpitt, Elm City, N.C.; two granddaughters, Kathleen Opalinski and Michelle Alicino; a brother-in-law, Alfred L. Liguori, Binghamton. Warren was a retired employee of the Department of Highway in New York City and an Army veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Timothy R. Bennett, Pastor of Main Street Baptist Church, Binghamton, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Monday from 5 to 8 P.M.
