Obituary of Richard R. Hickock

Richard R. Hickok, 75, formerly of Binghamton, died Wednesday, September 19, 2001, in Boynton Beach, Fla. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty O'Hern Hickok; and a brother, George Hickok. He is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Chris Mee, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Ellen and Matt Maltby, Centerville, Mass., Jeanne and Bob Korchak, Baldwinsville, Sheila Hickok, Endicott, Julie and Mazyar Adl-Zarabi, Milford, N.H.; seven grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Gertrude Summers, Fred Hickok, Nellie Wagstaff, Donald Hickok, Jeanette Mitchell, Mary Jones; sister-in-law, Rita Lawlor, Binghamton; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, and a retired employee of McIntosh Laboratories, Binghamton. Dick was a licensed real estate broker and member of the Broome County Board of Realtors. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Monday at 9 a.m., and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Dick may be made to St. Patrick's Church Restoration fund, 9 Leroy Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
