Lawrence S. Dumas, 67, of Kirkwood, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon,
June 24, 2001 at his home. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond; his parents,
John and Mildred Dumas; brothers, Lovell and Paul; sisters, Ruth and Irene. He
is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ann Buteux Dumas, Kirkwood; two daughters,
Deborah Austin, Concord, N.H., Sharon Northrop, Nineveh; a son and
daughter-in-law, Kevin and Tina Dumas, West Windsor; six grandchildren, Michael
and Joshua Austin, Gregg and Amy Northrop, Peter and Sarah Dumas; five sisters,
Laura Hawkins, Millie Windell, Edith Stone, Anna Palmer, Marge Hunsinger; a
brother, Edwin Dumas; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Evelyn
Buteux, Binghamton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Ed Farthing, Port
Dickinson. Larry was retired from the Union Endicott School District. He was a
member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #112 and was a volunteer for
Meals-on-Wheels and was an avid gardener. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St.
Mary's Church, Kirkwood, Wednesday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial
Park. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home,
141 Main St., Binghamton, Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in
memory of Larry may be made to St. Mary's Church, 975 NY Rt. 11, Kirkwood, N.Y.
