John D. Lloyd, 87, of Binghamton, formerly of New

York City, died Sunday evening, April 1, 2001, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kate Rand Lloyd, Binghamton; two

daughters and sons-in-law, Kate Angeline Traverse and Dr. Paul W. Traverse,

Vestal, Ann Elizabeth and Charles Ingrasci, Calif.; a son, John Rand Lloyd,

Providence, R.I.; seven grandchildren, Benjamin John Traverse, Nicholas Paul

Traverse, Hannah Whitney Traverse, Marissa Kate Ingrasci, Michael Joseph

Ingrasci, Sarah Evans Lloyd, John Davis Lloyd II. John was a retired

Development Director at New York University Medical Center Institute for

Environmental Medicine. He was an avid reader, writer, and former playwright

and screen writer. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the

family. Expressions of sympathy in memory of John may be made to Lourdes
