Richard

P. Monico, 64, of Binghamton, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at St. James

Hospital, Hornell. He was predeceased by his father, Francis Monico; and his

nephew, David Brady. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sue Walbridge

Monico, Binghamton; his children, Francis and Angela Monico, Nicholas and

Dianne Monico, Eric Monico and Mary Scales, Richard Monico, Carole and William

Martin; his grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Vincent and Michael Monico,

Nicholas Monico, Eric and Victoria Monico, Brian and Allison Martin; his

mother, Angeline Gaidusek Monico; his sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Leo

Brady; nieces, Alison Brady, Jennifer and Duane Dennison; and many loyal and

loving friends from the Union Hotel. Dick was a member of St. Cyril and

Methodius Church, Binghamton, third generation proprietor of the Union Hotel on

Clinton Street, Binghamton, and an Army veteran. Funeral services will be held

at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Monday, at 9

a.m., and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Cyril and Methodius Church, where a Funeral Mass

will be offered. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will

receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.
