Applebee Flohr, 71, beloved mother and grandmother, formerly of Binghamton,
died Thursday morning, March 15, 2001 at St. Agnes Hospital, Catonsville, Md.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Flohr, and her mother, Mabel
Applebee. She is survived by her children and spouses, Patricia and Russell McNulty,
Maine, Alice and Donald Matthews, Binghamton, Sharon and Christopher Hussey,
Bethesda, Md., Alan and Susan Flohr, Foster City, Calif., Carolynn and Terence
O'Connor, Parlin, N.J.; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Carol and Joseph Doyle,
Ossining; a brother, Edward and Nancy Applebee, New City; brother-in-law and
special friend, Richard Flohr, Catonsville, Md.; several nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Ossining, N.Y. and was a lifelong reader, knitter
and writer of poetry. She was a proud grandmother and will be sadly missed by
all who knew her. Funeral and interment services will be held at the J.A.
McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Sunday at 1 p.m. Rev.
David C. Seaver, Chaplain of Pastoral Care at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital,
will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will
receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Sunday, from 11 a.m. until
service time at 1 p.m.
