Jerome
T. Martin, Senior Master Sergeant, USAF (ret.), 83, formerly of Binghamton,
died Monday morning, March 12, 2001, in Raleigh, N.C. He was predeceased by his
wife, Eileen Martin; and his sister, Delores Martin. He is survived by a
daughter and son-in-law, Marie and William Hale, Raleigh, N.C.; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Emmet and Christine Martin, Binghamton, Michael and Nanette
Martin, Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Mary, Patrick, Michael and Anne
Hale, John and Anne Martin, Beth Coulson; a great grandchild, Caroline Martin;
a brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Phyllis Martin, Astoria; several nieces
and nephews. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton, and was
a retired Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, serving in
World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam Conflict, retiring after 25 years
of service. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral
Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday, at 9:30 a.m., and at 10 a.m., at St.
Thomas Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the
McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in
memory of Jerome may be made to the Hospice Program, c/o Our Lady of Lourdes
Hospital, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
