"Chip" Gialanella, Jr., 38, of Vestal died unexpectedly Wednesday,
February 21, 2001. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Felix and Frances
Gialanella and Daniel Sognalian. He is survived by his loving wife, Laurie A.
(Magliocco) Gialanella, Vestal; his son Vincent F. Gialanella; his parents,
Earl and Barbara Gialanella, Binghamton; three sisters and brother-in-law,
Joanne and Michael Thornton, Susan Gialanella, all of Rochester, Tracy Keiser,
Charlotte, N.C.; maternal grandmother, Grace Sognalian; mother-in-law and
father-in-law, Thelma and Peter Magliocco, Binghamton; sisters-in-law, Lou Ann
and Richard Pray, Lisa and John Ricci; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews
and cousins. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Binghamton. He
was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School and S.U.N.Y. at Binghamton. He
received his Juris Doctor from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo School of Law. Chip was an
Assistant District Attorney for Broome County from 1989 to 1994 and was an
Assistant New York Attorney General in the Binghamton Regional Office from 1994
until the present. He was a member of the American Bar Association, N.Y.S. Bar
Association and Broome County Bar Association. Funeral services will be held at
the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Saturday at
9:30 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Funeral
Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The
family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Friday from 4 to 8
p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vincent
Gialanella Trust Fund, c/o N.Y.S. Attorney General, Binghamton Regional Office,
