James

Lorin Telfer, 85, of Binghamton, died Sunday morning, February 18, 2001, at Our

Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was born July 26, 1915 in Milton, Nova Scotia,

Canada, the fourth of nine children of James and Elizabeth Feheley Telfer. He

is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marion Delaney Telfer, Binghamton; a

daughter, Marie Davenport, Binghamton; grandson, Dan Davenport; brother and

sister-in-law, Ralph and Ruth Telfer, Owego; brother-in-law, Rev. Charles A.

Delaney, C.S.C., Santiago, Chile; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Murphy Telfer,

Catherine Hanagan Delaney, Joan Gates Telfer; several nieces and nephews. He

was a member of St. Paul's Church, Binghamton; retired 40 year employee of the

G.A.F. Corporation; charter member of Top Gun Hunting Club. He will be deeply

missed by family. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons

Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and at 11

a.m. at St. Paul's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered by his

brother-in-law. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family

will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7

to 9 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Lorin may be made to Rev.
