Obituary of Sarah Brigiotta

Sarah (Raffa) Brigiotta, 94, of Binghamton, died Thursday morning, February 15, 2001, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Brigiotta; her sister, Nella Calderaro; her brother, Salvatore Raffa; and brothers and sisters in Italy. She is survived by her daughter, Mary J. Brigiotta, Binghamton; her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Patricia Brigiotta, Binghamton; five grandchildren, Rose and Brian McNierney, Annette Brigiotta, her loving grandson, Joseph Brigiotta, Mary Brigiotta, Nino Brigiotta; four great-grandchildren; two loving nieces, Josephine Sullivan and Antonia LaSorte; several nephews; brother-in-law, Salvatore Calderaro. Sarah was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton and was associated with her late husband at Brigiotta's Tailor Shop on Clinton Street for many years. Sarah will be greatly missed by all who knew and lover her. We were truly blessed with her love, her goodness and gentleness. We dearly loved you; you will always be in our Prayers and in our hearts. Good-bye beloved mother and grandmother till we meet again. Funeral services will be held at theJ. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Monday at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J. A. McCormack Funeral Home, Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Sarah may be made to St. Patrick's Church Restoration Fund, 9 Leroy Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905
