Munson, Sr.; her parents, Genevieve Connor De Nio and Martin De Nio; her brother, Frederick A. De Nio; and her sister-in-law and husband, Isabelle and Herman Knecht. She is survived by her children, Eldon Jr. and Janet Munson, Francestown, N.H., David and Elizabeth "Ann" Munson, Binghamton, Beth and William Knecht, Endwell; her grandchildren, Sara Munson Klumb, Genevieve, Kathleen, David and Eldon Munson III, Jessica and Emily Munson, Jennifer and Kristen Knecht; a great grandson, Tyler Klumb; a sister, Elizabeth Norton; two nieces, Jacqueline Alterio and Rose Marie Cowan. Rose was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City. She was born in Poyntelle, Pa. and during high school she moved to Hallstead, Pa., where she met the love of her life, Eldon in 1941. They were married after the completion of Elson's military service in 1946, the same day her sister Betty became Mrs. Richard Norton. They lived in Johnson City and later in Binghamton and raised their three children on Stanford Place, where they lived among the finest neighbors a family could want. Rose devoted her young married life to raising her children. Later she worked for the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Corporation for a number of years. In retirement she enjoyed her growing family as grandchildren and recently a great grandchild who became the source of great pride to her. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday, at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m., at St. James Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
