Obituary of Dorothy M. Cook

Dorothy M. Shaw Cook, 80, of Binghamton, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, December 19, 2001 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by by her husband, Robert M. Cook; her parents, William and Helen Shaw; a sister, Elizabeth Crosby; her twin brother, Robert Shaw. She is survived by a step son, Robert and Lisa Cook, Columbia, S.C.; her grandchildren, Alexander, Julianna, Leann, Katherine, Robert; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Lindsey, Jennie, Robert; nieces and nephews, Beverly and William Sheredy, John and Johanna Crosby, Gerald Crosby, Barbara and Robert DuBrava; brother-in-law, Jack and Dorothy Crosby; great-nieces and nephews, Lisa and John Smith, Suzanna and Joseph Parnella, Jennifer DuBrava, Philip DuBrava; many caring and loving friends. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton and was retired from United Health Services at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Dorothy was a loyal N.Y. Yankees fan, enjoyed bowling, listening and dancing to the music of the big bands, and keeping in touch with friends on the phone. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at theJ. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton Friday at9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m.
