Francis L. Monahan, 84, of Binghamton,

died Tuesday morning, January 22, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was

predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Maureen Monahan; his brothers, Gerald,

Bernard and Joseph Monahan; and his sister, Gertrude Brewer. He is survived by

a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Lawrence Hawke, Apalachin; a son and

daughter-in-law, Dennis and JoAnne Monahan, Liverpool; four granddaughters,

Jodie and Danielle Hawke, Stacie Monahan, Kellie and Chris Ford; several nieces

and nephews. Francis was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church,

Binghamton, also Army Air Corps veteran of WWII and a retired employee of BSB

Bank & Trust. Funeral services will be held at theJ.A. McCormack Sons

Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton Friday at 12:30 p.m. and at 1 p.m. at

St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered, Burial

will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Silver Lake, Pa. in the spring. The family

will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
