Marie R. McHugh, of Binghamton, died

Sunday, St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband,

Joseph J. McHugh; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Frederick and Stephie

Greene, Robert Greene, Elizabeth McHugh. She is survived by her daughter and

son-in-law, Anne and Roland Smilnak, Binghamton; her son, Joseph J. McHugh,

Binghamton; daughter-in-law, Rita McHugh, Binghamton; three grandchildren,

Carrie A. and Bill Goodwin, Savannah, Ga., Allison Smilnak, Tim Smilnak,

Binghamton; sister-in-law, Kay McHugh, Binghamton; several nieces and nephews.

Marie was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton and Fatima Club.

She was a retired secretary for the Binghamton School District. Funeral

services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton

Thursday at 2 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church where a

Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.

The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 4

to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Marie may be made to the Hospice

Program, c/o Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, N.Y.
