Ruth A. Casey, 74, of Binghamton, died

unexpectedly Monday evening, May 13, 2002 at our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She

was predeceased by her husband, Fred H. Casey; and her sons, William and Peter

Paul Casey. She is survived by her beloved children, Marcia and Patrick

DeFuria, N.J., Dennis W. and Fernanda Casey, Conn., Carolyn J. Casey and David

Hosmer, N.C., Thomas E. and Lori A. Casey, Kenneth S. Casey, Michele M. Casey,

all of Binghamton; a stepson, Frederick L. Casey, Fla.; many grandchildren,

nieces, nephews; two sisters, Dorothy and James Crossett, Vestal, Elaine

Chamberlain, Binghamton. Ruth was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church,

Binghamton. She is a retired employee of the Binghamton Psychiatric Center

after over 20 years of employment and a member of C.S.E.A. She was an avid

bingo player and loved gardening and travel. Funeral services will be held at

the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 9

a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Funeral Mass

will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family

will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
