Obituary of Robert M. Hastings

Robert M. Hastings, 77, of Binghamton, died Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2002, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was the son of the late E. Francis and Mae Foley Hastings; and was predeceased by his brothers, Edward and Joseph. He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Hastings, Binghamton, Teresa and John Morris, McGraw; nephews, John Morris, Frank Morris, Robert and Julie Morris, Thomas Morris; nieces, Maureen Morris, Margaret and James Hively, Karen and David Rousche; several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; his uncle, Gerald Hastings. Bob was a member of St. Christopher's Church, Binghamton, a Navy veteran of WWII, president of Robert E. Foley Electrical Contracting Co., past president of North Eastern Electrical Contractors Association. He was an avid woodworker and worked for several wood mills. He was a graduate of Windsor High School. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Christopher's Church, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bob may be made to St. Christopher's Church, 103 Castle Creek Rd., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905, or Special Olympics, Governmental Plaza, Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.
