Collin Patrick Murray, 22 of Binghamton died unexpectedly Sunday, May 10, 2015 due to a tragic drowning accident. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Theresa and Jack Murray; maternal grandparents, Doris and Francis Komorny; aunt, Doey Komorny; uncle, Tim Murray; and cousin, Noelle Komorny. He is survived by his loving parents, Jude and Dan Murray; his beloved brother and best friend, Jordan Murray; aunts and uncles, Frank and Amy Komorny, Terry and Dorothy Murray, Kevin and Rene Murray; cousins, Shelly and Scott Maslar, Zach and Justin Maslar, Michael and Erin Murray, Kaelyn and Evan Murray, Brian and Anastasia Murray, Liam Murray, Kylie, Logan and Savanah Murray, Kate Mower, Patrick Mower, Michael Lee, Bethany Scherer, Jema Urso, Shawn Murray, Braden and Tyler Murray; Godparents, Aunt Rhoda and Uncle Terry; childhood friends and college roommates, Antino, Wayne, and Mitch; Brotherhood of Lifelong Friends, Anthony, Joey, Josh, John, Drew, Mitch, Wayne, Tino, Casey, Dan, A.P., Chris and Fran. Collin was a graduate of Binghamton High School Class of 2011, played J.V. and varsity Lacrosse, cross country and varsity golf. He played St. Mary's CYO basketball and soccer, Southside/Crowley's little league team. He was a member of Boy Scouts Trp. 5 achieving the rank of Life Scout. He was a senior at the College at Brockport scheduled to graduate Saturday May 16, 2015 with a 4.0 GPA with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Political Science. He played Brockport Club lacrosse and was ass't JV Lacrosse coach at Greece High School. Collin was dedicated to maintaining his physical and mental health. Truly believing "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." Collin's goals were to live life to the fullest and to be a loyal and faithful friend. We love you and will miss you "Collie Dog." A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Thursday from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly donate to the Collin Patrick Murray Lacrosse Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors at B.H.S. c/o Visions Federal Credit Union, 4700 Vestal Parkway E. Vestal, NY 13850.
