Obituary of Eileen Stevens

Edward Arthur Holub, 77, of Binghamton, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, May 9, 2015. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Katharine (Kay) Holub; his sister-in-law, Jan Westfall; and brother-in-law, Jack Joseph. He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Eric and Caroline Holub, Lisa and Rick Ferrero, Mary Leigh Holub, Tara and Jason Riesbeck; eight grandchildren, Andy, Jack and Robbie Holub, Tony and Joey Ferrero, Paige, Kyle and Eddie Riesbeck; two sisters-in-law, Ann and Bob Quinn, Pat Joseph; and brother-in-law, Tom Westfall. After graduating from Broome Community College and Indiana Tech, Ed spent his career as an Engineer and retired from IBM Owego. He enjoyed sailing, taking kids waterskiing, going to the dog track, playing the stock market, woodworking, home remodeling, small gauge trains, playing cards, and sitting at one of his favorite pubs listening to tunes and watching the boats go by on the Florida Intracoastal Waterway. Ed loved spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton Wednesday at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. At Ed's request, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Ed and Kay may be made to the American Cancer Society , 13 Beech Street, Johnson City, NY 13790 or the American Heart Association , P.O. box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
