Obituary of Elizabeth R. Cuddeback

Elizabeth Rudy Cuddeback of Binghamton, NY passed away peacefully at Good Shepherd Fairview Home in Binghamton on May 1, 2015 at the age of 101. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, William L. Cuddeback, Sr.; her parents, Helen and Raymond Rudy; and sister, Nancy Howard. Betty was born in Denver and graduated from Wellesley College. She is survived by her sons, William Jr. (wife Mary), Robert (wife Shawn), and David. She was blessed with her grandchildren, William (wife Denise), Meghan, David (wife Crystal), and Robert. She was fortunate to both love and enjoy her great grandchildren, Jenna, Caroline, Katy, Averi, Gavin, Jim and Jack. Betty was a long time member of the United Presbyterian Church, where she served in many activities. She was a member of the Monday Afternoon Club and the Binghamton Club where she enjoyed the game of Bridge and the companionship of friends. Betty was a strong believer in volunteering. She was a member of the Junior League of Binghamton, who presented her with the Watrous Bowl. She delivered Meals on Wheels, served in the Women's Auxiliary at Binghamton General Hospital, where she greeted and assisted patients, worked in and served as Treasurer of the gift shop. A Memorial Service commemorating Betty and her life will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11am in the sanctuary of United Presbyterian Church, 42 Chenango Street in Binghamton. The family will greet friends at 10am in the library of the church. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a contribution in her name be made to a charity which is meaningful and important to you.
