Obituary of Kathleen J. Murray

Murray, Kathleen J. Chenango Bridge, NY: Kathleen J. Murray, 80, died Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, William J. Murray; a son, Michael Murray; and a grandson, John. She is survived by her children, Colleen and Tim Conklin, William J. and Joanne Murray Jr., Kelly Hatton; grandchildren, Tim, Todd, Ryan, Megan, Brendon, William III, Caitlin, Casey: ten great grandchildren; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Margaret Murray; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Hillcrest. Kathleen enjoyed a lifetime of summers with her husband Bill and family at Sandy Pond, and 17 years of winters at New Smyrna Beach, FL. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and devoted her life to her family. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for the care given to Kathleen. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Hillcrest, Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Sunday from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Kathleen may be made to Willow Point Nursing Home Rehab Unit, 3700 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.
