Robert "Bob" Emmett Ryan of Binghamton passed away at his home on Thursday June 19, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary O'Hehir Ryan, and his brother Andrew Ryan. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan (Dailey) Ryan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael J. and Sara Dailey, Greene; several nieces, nephews, cousins and eight godchildren. Bob is also survived by his extended families, James and Barbara Eggleston, Patrick and Roxanne Eggleston, Joseph and Vilma Eggleston, Maureen E. Worhach. Also William and Mary Martin, Christopher and Mary Anne Martin, David and Pamela Martin, Gary and Joanne Martin, Dr. Gerard and Roberta Martin. He was a member of the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton and the Holy Name Society. Bob graduated from St. Paul's High School Class of 1944 and was a US Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a retired 42 year employee of the NY Telephone Co. / AT&T. The family wishes to express their since thanks and appreciation to Dr. Andras Szabo and Dr. Peter Lethin for their care and compassion. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Sunday from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Bob may be made to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, 7 Livingston St. Binghamton, NY 13903 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
