Obituary of Rosemary Buza
Please share a memory of Rosemary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
"Rosie" & "Mamma" After dedicating her life to taking care of her family, Rosemary Buza was a witness to the Resurrection of her Lord Jesus Christ early Easter morning, April 20, 2014. She was 74. Rosie was predeceased by her parents Leo and Dorothea Hubik and by her loving husband of 48 years, Ron Buza. She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Mark, Paul and Becky Buza; her pride and joy, her granddaughter, Hannah Rose Buza. Rosie is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marlene Buza and Dot (Marc) Ramsey; nephew, Rodney Dillenbeck; great nephews, Tyler, Jacob, and Marek Dillenbeck; her brother, Joe Hubik; and many caring neighbors and friends. She was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City. In addition to being a dedicated housewife and mother, she worked as a caterer for many years. She enjoyed listening to her sons' music, polka dancing, gardening, canning, baking, and crocheting. She loved her monthly bus trips and annual family vacations to Atlantic City. Rosie showed great pride in the annual Buza's Christmasland light display at her home. After serving as the primary caregiver for both her mother-in-law and husband, she was faced with her own courageous three and a half year battle with cancer. "Mamma" will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Thursday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Rosie be made to Catholic Charities of Broome County, 232 Main Street, Binghamton, NY 13905
