Obituary of Jack E Crosby

Jack E. Crosby, 98 of Binghamton, died Tuesday April 1, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth Crosby and his brother Francis G. Crosby. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Crosby; his children, Beverly and Bill Sheredy, Endwell, John and Johanna Crosby, Hyannis, MA, Gerald Crosby, Binghamton, his caregivers, Barbara and Bob DuBrava, Endicott. He was Grampy to Lisa Sheredy, Suzanne Sheredy, Jennifer and Matt Hinton, Philip and Vanessa DuBrava; great-grandchildren, Paige Elizabeth, Daniel Noah, Quinn Harper. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton. Jack was a personal aide for the late Senator Warren M. Anderson. He was a veteran of World War II. Jack was co-owner with his brother Francis of Crosby's Bar & Grill and former salesman for Eber Bros. and bartender at Banquet Functions at the Holiday Inn Arena. Jack remained a loyal NY Yankees fan for his entire life. He was known by anyone who met him as a kind and gentle man. Special thanks to the staff at Lourdes Hospital for giving Dad great care and compassion. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A.
