Obituary of Raymond G. Conroy

Raymond G. Conroy, 85 of Johnson City passed away suddenly on Friday March 28, 2014 at his home. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Conroy; his daughter, Marie Conroy; parents, Thomas and Grace Conroy; sisters, Ann, Patricia and Margaret; brothers, Eugene, Vincent and Thomas. He is survived by his children, Linda and Ron Kafchinski, Nancy and Gary Desko, Teri and Rich Conte, Gary and Bridget Conroy, John and Linda Conroy, Bob and Sharon Conroy, Jerry and Anita Conroy; grandchildren, Rob, Joe and Cara, Jim and Mel, Katie and Mike, Maura and Sam, Patrick, Erin, Gary, and Lindsey, Adrienne, Ryan, Brian and Amanda, Justin and Tiffany, Kevin, Colin; step-grandchildren, Renee, Michele, Matt, Kristan, Kristopher and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Molly Hannah, Christopher, Hayden, Lane; step great-grandchildren, Marissa, Gunner, Kaiden, Tori; his siblings, Helen Hyde, Louise Martin; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law and cousins. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, Vestal and a retired 30 year employee of the IBM Corporation and a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was very proud of his 25 years plus as a Southern Tier Basketball Official. He was past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Johnson City. He was a Eucharistic Minister, Usher and Loaves and Fishes Pantry volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Blessed Sacrament Church. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent DePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A.
