Obituary of Timothy J. Fitzgerald

Timothy James Fitzgerald, 47, of Canandaigua, left us all too soon on March 20, 2014 at his home after a short illness. He was predeceased by his father, William J. Fitzgerald. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Fitzgerald; his brothers and sisters, Daniel Fitzgerald and Mary Storti, Kathleen and John Rodzinka, Patricia and Michael Corbett, William and Monica Fitzgerald, John and Patricia Fitzgerald; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; a good friend, Mike Wright; and many dear friends in Canandaigua. He was a graduate of Windsor High School, Class of 1984, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1984 until 1988 and re-enlisted from 1991 until 1993 in Desert Storm and received the Navy Achievement Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal. He was an avid NY Mets and St. Louis Rams fan. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 7414 and the Moose Lodge 3861 in Canandaigua. Tim had a great sense of humor and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. His compassion and gentleness touched many people and will not be forgotten. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Mary's Church, Rt. 11, Kirkwood, Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
