Obituary of John F. Hayes

John F. Hayes, 82, of Endwell, died Sunday, March 23, 2014, at his home. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Fabrizi Hayes; his parents, George and Anna Hayes; his brother, Edward Hayes; and sisters, Rosemary Matias Johnson and Agnes Groover. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa M. and John DeLeo, Wyckoff, NJ; his grandchildren, Alex, Lauren, and Morgan; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. John was a retired 35 year employee of the IBM Corporation and a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was an U.S. Air Force of the Korean War and a member of the Johnson City Knights of Columbus Council 2953. John was a man of unselfish character. He will be forever remembered for his quick wit and loving dedication to his family. Memorial services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday at 10 a.m. Deacon George C. Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
