Obituary of Sally Louise Starkweather

Sally Starkweather, age 88, formerly of 30 Park St., Binghamton entered her eternal rest with our Lord on January 17, 2025.
She was born on January 9, 1937 to her parents Edward and Ethel Connolly. She is now rejoined in Heaven with her parents, husband Donald Starkweather, her sisters and brothers-in-law Kathleen and Marshall Smith, Delores and Robert Smith, her brother Edward J. Connolly, her niece Sally (Smith) Spalik and her grandson, Jonathan Riggall.
She is survived by her children, Amy (Starkweather) Ragsdale snd Kyle Starkweather, her granddaughter, Laura (Alex) Mushalla; two great- grandchildren Addison and Mason Mushalla, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families.
Sally was employed at Catholic Charities where many special relationships were made over the years. She enjoyed volunteering for the annual Spiedie Fest and as an active member helping at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Binghamton. In addition she was affiliated with the "Ladies of Charity" and the "Sisters of St. Joseph". She was known for her cheerful greeting and smile at Catholic Charities being remembered by those who came and went at 232 Main St. Most recently a CNA at Susquehanna nursing home remembered meeting her in 2013 and how helpful she was in connecting him to the proper people and resources he needed. Sally was a selfless person whom always put others before herself whether at home, work, or church. Many loved her and will remember her as a loving person with a strong faith and set of beliefs.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, corner of Oak and Leroy Streets, Binghamton, Saturday January 25, 2025 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Patrick's Church, Saturday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760. The Mass will be live streamed at www.sta-sp.org
