Florence M. (Starr) Kakusian, 88,, Sunrise Terrace, Binghamton, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel P. Kakusian of 48 years; her parents Troy and Mabel Starr; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Karop and Nora Kakusian; brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Mary Kakusian; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Louise (Kakusian) and Howard Rockwell. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Kakusian) Pufky (Kenneth Frank); her sister Sally Starr (Frank O'Conner); her granddaughter Nora (Joel) Wetsig, beautiful great granddaughters Charlotte and Emma Wetsig; granddaughter Ashley (Cody) Llyod; and nieces and nephews. Florence retired from UHS General Hospital. She volunteered many years for Faith and Action. She enjoyed the family Wednesday night dinners. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 1 p.m. Rev. Janet Abel will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 12 noon until 1 p.m.
