John G. "Jerry" McCarthy Obituary
John Gerald "Jerry" McCarthy, 77, of Conklin, NY passed away peacefully in his home Sunday Morning, August 18th, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Rita McCarthy, as well as siblings Rita Farrow, Susan McCarthy, Thomas McCarthy, and Nicholas McCarthy. He is survived by his wife Lori, his sons Scott Marean (Ana Koulikas Anderson), and Chris McCarthy, his daughters Catherine (Vince) Kilgallon, and Robyn (Joey) Faircloth. He is also survived by grandkids Alex (Caitlin) Kilgallon, Scott Marean Jr., Sean (Rosa) Marean, Meghann Kilgallon, Anastasia Kilgallon, and a great granddaughter, Mariella Nickerson. He is also survived by his sisters Maureen McCarthy, Betty (Tom) Curley, brother Robert McCarthy, and brother in-law George Farrow, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. John attended Binghamton Central High School, and is a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a Licensed Master Electrician, and retired from the Canadian Pacific Railroad after 32 years of employment. John was also a member of VFW Legion post 1645. He enjoyed classic radio shows, was an avid NY Yankees fan, and enjoyed his Saturday stops at Abel's Pub.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will recevie friends at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
