Obituary of Jimmie McCray

Jimmie McCray, 79 of Binghamton died Thursday February 27, 2014 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Lee Rudolph and former wife Sarah McCray. He is survived by his best friend and companion Carol Kenyon. He is also survived by six children, Jimmie McCray Jr., Endicott, Sylvester McCray and JoAnne Thomas, Binghamton, Mary J. Wayman, Atlanta, GA, Deborah (Timothy) Smith and Diane McCray, Montgomery, AL; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three step-children, Charles (Tammy) Woody, Annette (Michael) Reistetter, Binghamton, Heidi (Alex) Nogloski, Johnson City; eight step-grandchildren. Jimmie was a retired employee of Binghamton University and a member of C.S.E.A. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Tuesday at 11 a.m. Rev. Frank Barnett of Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ, will officiate. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Jimmie may be made to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center, Johnson City, NY.
