Maisie E. Matteson (Jones) of Binghamton passed away peacefully Monday, July 22 at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford. She was predeceased by her parents Ellis and Maisie Jones, her brother and sister-in-law Stanley "Pinky" and Carra Jones. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband Donald.

Maisie leaves behind her children Raymond (Colleen) Matteson of Texas and Andrea (Mark) Grogan of Binghamton. She also leaves behind her grandchildren that she adored, Donny (Hannah) Matteson, Brian (Gina) Matteson, Laura Matteson, David Matteson, Conor Grogan, and Mary Catherine Grogan. Also, her great-grandsons Bennett and Griffin Matteson.

The family would like to thank the staff at the NYS Veterans Home for their wonderful care over the years and her finals days.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Chenango Street, Hillcrest, Tuesday July 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
