tt is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a beloved husband, father, and friend, Joseph P. Koplik, who left us on May 31,2024.
Joe is survived by son Joseph (Jacqui) and grandchildren Roman/Tara, Natasha; Daughter Jennifer (Thomas) and grandchildren Elise, Carly and Meredith. He is survived by his sister Marion Zembek, brother Robert (Ann), sister Martha (Victor) Lidaka, brother in law Michael Pratt, brother in law John Giammichele, sister in law Rose (Ed) Blaine, sister in law Maria Syryca, brother in law Dennis Telfer and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Emilia and his father Joseph, his sister Jeannie Pratt, brother in law Bernie Syryca and sister in law Carolyn Telfer.
Joe was a man of unwavering devotion and deep love, especially for his wife of 56 years, Priscilla. His positive outlook and warm-hearted nature endeared him to all who knew him and he will be forever missed. He was a role model for all because of the values of love, integrity, and faith, setting a powerful example of what it means to be a devoted husband and father.
Joe retired from IBM after over 38 years of service. He spent countless weekends camping at Guestward Ho where he enjoyed the beauty and simplicity of nature - including that of his four-legged companions.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday , June 4, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society at 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton NY 13903. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to caregivers Marcie, Susan and Lourdes Hospice
