Karen A. Ryan (Weiland) of Binghamton passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday May 25, 2024. She was born in 1960 in Binghamton, NY and was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Paul Ryan, her son Paul Joseph (Nicole), and Daughter Allison Ryan. In addition, she is survived by the lights of her life, her grandsons Beau and Callum Ryan. She is also survived by her sisters, Geri Fenson (Steve) and Cathi Heslin (Terry). She also leaves behind her Stepfather James Florini, Niece and Nephew Colleen and Joe Booth as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Robert Weiland and Elizabeth Weiland Florini and her mother and father-in-law, Paul J. and Rosemary Ryan and sister-in-law Rosemary Ryan Booth She was an active member of St Paul's Church. While her children were young she was very involved as a volunteer for all their activities. Karen was employed by Lourdes hospital for over 41 years in the medical staff office. She was an avid walker; she loved the beach, music, reading and cherished spending time with lifelong friends, especially those from LouPark The family would like to thank Broome Oncology, the Lourdes/Guthrie Palliative Care Department and the staff of Lourdes Hospice for the compassionate care they showed to Karen. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Paul's Church, Chenango Street, Binghamton, Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. In lieu of Flowers donations are suggested to Tunnel to Towers.
