God opened his arms to welcome our beautiful earth angel Joyce Ann (Kozak) Mezzadonna on May 5th, surrounded by her forever sweetheart Bill and her loving family. She was born December 29, 1933,to Walter and Ann (Baba) Kozak in Binghamton. Joyce met the love of her life while attending Binghamton Central School. Her caring, compassionate nature led her to a career in nursing. After graduating from Wilson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as Valedictorian, she and Bill married, raised a family and have spent 68 wondrous years together. Joyce was just pure JOY in all she did. Unwavering devotion of her faith, family and friends, showcased her love. Everyone knew her heart and back door were always open. Joyce gave her time and talents to various causes. "Neighborhood Nurse", Kiawana Queens, Brim-Mor Garden Club, Church School Teacher, Slovak Heritage, and community organizations. All knew of her love of flowers which led to her (Everlastings by Joyce) business. You might have seen her picking flowers where wild things grew. Her adventurous spirit took them traveling around the world. Joyce loved any adventure whether going for a Sunday Drive, that had to include ice cream, or zip lining through the rainforest. Joyce's love for her family was unparalleled. She was predeceased by her parents, Uncle Joseph Greskovic, Aunt Margaret (John Trevisan), niece Suzanne, nephew Mark, son-in-law Robert Glebatis, and numerous cousins.
