Juliet M. Galvin Obituary

Juliet Galvin (Judy or Julie), 85, died on April 22nd at Wilson Hospital after a short illness.

Judy was born on July 18th, 1938 in Binghamton, N.Y. to Bill and Winnie Galvin. She attended Oneonta College for her teaching degree. Teaching young children was a true joy for Julie. She taught for the Union Endicott school district for 37 years. Her creativity was woven into each lesson. She loved watching and guiding children's wonder into understanding. She shared other wonderful talents. Her cross-stitch artistry was amazing. She was a talented knitter and an incredible quilter. Judy was a very generous and thoughtful gifter.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother; Bill , and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Judy is survived by many nieces and nephews. Judy was a kind gentle soul and will be missed by all who knew her.


A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Chenango Street, Hillcrest, Tuesday, April 30 2024 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnson City. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Judy's memory may be made to Catherine's Cupboard Food Pantry, 1031 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
