Eugene T. "Stubby" Lawrence Obituary

Eugene "Stubby" Lawrence, aged 81, of Conklin NY died Wednesday February 14th at home. He graduated from Binghamton North High School and Cornell University. Stubby was the son of Gene and Betty (Hager) Lawrence. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Judy (Kelly), as well as his son Gene and brother Billy. He was a past member of the Conklin Volunteer Fire department. He was a proud Teamster, driving for more than 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and playing cards. He was a Ford Bronco fan from their first release, owning over seven through the years. He enjoyed finding ways to grow bigger pumpkins and inventing new "Stub-Masters" to solve problems we didn't know we had. Dad always knew how to help and how to encourage us to be our best. He loved his grandchildren and watching them grow gave him great pleasure.
