Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Cox

Elizabeth Anne Cox, 62 years old, died unexpectedly February 1,2024 at her residence in Vestal. she was born May 5, 1961 in Binghamton, NY. She was predeceased by her mother Jacqueline, and is survived by her father, Edward M. Cox Sr. MD, siblings Edward M. Cox Jr. MD, Christine Marie Roemer, and John Thomas Cox. She was schooled at Hamilton, West Jr., and Central High, and attended the University of Michigan and Trinity College-Hartford. Liz worked in retail in Hartford and Binghamton. Jackie and Liz were a team in volunteer work for over 2 decades. She enjoyed our family sports of tennis, skiing, and coastal vacations at Jekyll Island, Long Beach Island, and her favorite Cape May, NJ. Liz and Jackie were frequent travelers to Skaneateles for lunch and shopping. Liz loved jewelry shopping, costume and fine. We enjoyed periodic visits to Tanglewood for summer concerts. Liz enjoyed a good life and will be dearly missed. Following her wishes, there will not be funeral or memorial services. In lieu of flowers, friends and loved ones may donate to charities of their choice, or just recall fond memories from the past.
