Kathleen lived a long, faith-filled life. Nanny loved her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren and her wonderful extended family with nieces and nephews across the country. She loved planting flowers, working in her garden, and researching garden tips and more online. She enjoyed wonderful friendships. She loved her Catholic faith and attended daily mass for many years. She graduated from St. Patrick's Academy. She learned proofreading skills at Vail-Ballou in the 1940s and then married Jim Foley and devoted herself to being a full-time wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother for the next 73 years. She loved celebrating her Irish heritage and kept lasting friendships with her Irish cousins. She became a skilled letter writer and her cards and well-wishes were welcomed by all. She enjoyed baseball, cheered on the Triplets with her father and watched every Yankees game. She loved to read books, newspapers and online publications. For many years she volunteered at St. Patrick's Church. Her legendary gingersnap cookies delighted family and friends. Nanny and Poppy hosted weekly Sunday breakfasts after mass to nourish us and we left with the family's love in our hearts. Nanny's favorite color was purple. Kindly consider adding something purple to your attire when you attend her funeral.
