Joanne Butenko 72, of Binghamton, daughter of John and Marion (Rosencrans) Organiscak, passed away August 26th 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Joanne is finally comfortable and resting peacefully. She is predeceased by her devoted husband of 45 years Nicholas Butenko and her brother Raymond. She is survived by her sons Nicholas Jr. and his wife Tara, and Kevin and his wife Katie; her Grandchildren Landon, Evan, Ethan, Audrey, Dylan and Natalie; Her sisters; Janet and husband Darrol Hall, Connie and husband Patrick Miner; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends and neighbors that were like family to her over the many years. Joanne loved spending time with her family and friends. No one ever left Joanne's dining room hungry. Her twenty plus varieties of Christmas cookies were always a highlight of Christmas time for everyone that was lucky enough to receive them.

Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday at 11 a.m. Rev. David C. Seaver will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Expressions of sympathy in Joanne's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She always believed and supported their work for helping children. A memorial fund was opened in her name at www.StJude.org.
