Nancy Ruddy Obituary

Nancy was born on May 12, 1939 to the late Matthew and Rose Quinlivan. She passed away gracefully on June 16, 2023. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Edward. Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years Thomas J. Ruddy, her son Matthew J. Ruddy of Oneida, NY and her daughter Jennifer R. Strong (Brian) of Wake Forest, NC. As well as six beloved grandchildren, Brayden, Colin, Quin, Addison, Peyton, and Christian, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Nancy graduated from Broome Community College and retired from GE and the Johnson City School District. She was a kind and loving person. You never heard her complain or say a bad word about anyone. She cherished her six grandchildren who meant the world to her.


A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m .
