Daniel Charles McGarry, 51, of Binghamton, NY passed away in his sleep on April 28, 2023.

Daniel was born in Lourdes Hospital to Thomas W. McGarry and Mary Louise Brink McGarry on December 28, 1971. He attended Chenango Valley High School; he went on to earn a degree in Mathematics at St. Bonaventure University and a Masters in Math Education from Binghamton University. Daniel was a teacher for many years and enjoyed helping his students understand Math and life. Daniel loved cooking for his family. He also genuinely appreciated a great cup of coffee as well as taking long walks and listening to music. He was an accomplished piano player and avid reader. His library card was one of his prized possessions. His strong faith and sense of humor guided him through life and helped him see beauty and kindness everywhere. He will be missed dearly.

Daniel is survived by his four beautiful children Samuel, Alannah, Raquel, Johan and their mother Louise. His parents Thomas and Mary Louise, three brothers Thomas, John and Robert, his two sisters Kathryn and Margaret, several nieces and nephews and his two pals Susan Haskell and Mary Louise.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Chenango Street, Hillcrest, NY Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. The family will receive friends at St. Francis Church Wednesday from 9:15a.m until 10 a.m. Arrangements are by the J.A McCormack Sons Funeral Home, Inc.
