Obituary of Frances A. McHugh

Frances (Fran) A. McHugh passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022, at Binghamton General Hospital, with her loving and dedicated husband Richard by her side. She was born in the Pennsylvania town of Susquehanna on September 15, 1943, to Francis and Violet Patrillo. She married the love of her life, Richard McHugh, on October 27, 1979, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Binghamton, New York.
Frances worked for United Health Services for 47 years, first in the radiology department at Binghamton General Hospital and then in the cardiopulmonary department at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Frances adored the good men and women she worked with in the hospitals, as well as the work she did to assist patients. She left United Health Services in 2015.
Frances was predeceased by her father, Francis, and mother, Violet, as well as her sisters, Anna Slutzker and Joyce Patrillo, her nephew, Steven Dorfman, and her brothers-in-law, Seymour (Cy) Dorfman and Mitchell M. Slutzker.
Frances is survived by her husband Richard, son Ian, his wife Stephanie, and their son James, and her sister Faith Patrillo.
Graveside Services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, Section 26 on Saturday December 3, 2022 at 10 a.m. Rev. Corey S. VanKuren will officiate. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.
